Every kilowatt-hour, used twice: once to compute, once to heat.

Physics only: the figures show heat, not prices. What the mining earns and what the heat costs you are set in your HaaS proposal.
How it works

Power in, compute, heat out.

A Bitcoin miner is a computer that turns almost all the electricity it uses into heat. Put it where you need heat, and the same kilowatt-hour does two jobs.

⚡

Power arrives

Your supply comes through tem, priced against UK renewable generators (RED), with the RED Plus benefit on top.

Miners compute

BLOX miners on your site run the Bitcoin network’s calculations. The mining earns; the electricity becomes heat.

The heat is yours

That heat warms your building — through a large dry cooler, or from space heaters in the room itself.

Two ways to deploy

Sized and laid out for your site.

Which layout fits depends on how your building is heated today, how much space you have, and whether you need the heat all year.

A

Large dry coolerhydro-cooled miners, heat carried by water

How
Miners sit in a compact, hydro-cooled BLOX enclosure. A water loop carries their heat to a large dry cooler — a radiator with fans — that warms your space.
Suits
Larger buildings and bigger heat loads; sites where the miners should sit outside the heated space.
Out of season
When you don’t need the heat, it can be sent outside instead.
B

Mining space heatersair-cooled miners, heat straight into the room

How
Air-cooled mining units are placed in the space itself and heat it directly — like a fan heater that computes while it warms.
Suits
Warehouses, workshops, barns and glasshouses with open floor space.
Out of season
Units can be vented outside, turned down or switched off.
Who it suits

Sites with a steady need for heat.

The more hours you need heat, the more of the miners’ output you use.

What Tier 2 includes

Everything in Tier 1, plus the miners and the heat. RenewaBlox designs, installs and runs the system; your supply stays with tem.

Illustrative. Almost all the electricity a miner uses ends up as heat. Layout A assumes about 95% is recovered as useful heat — the ratio of RenewaBlox’s heat-network demonstrator, 250 kW of electricity in and 237 kW of heat out — and layout B effectively all of it. Gas displaced assumes an 85%-efficient boiler; CO₂ uses the UK government conversion factor for natural gas, about 0.18 kg CO₂e per kWh. Mining revenue and the price of heat are not shown and depend on your proposal. RED and RED Plus are supplied by tem. © 2026 RenewaBlox Ltd.
