The model
Run-of-River Hydro model
A 999 kW Gilkes Turgo in the Scottish Highlands, once a stranded and
distressed asset, with a BLOX data centre in the powerhouse running in island mode.
- The controller tracks the river; the compute fleet follows the power available.
- Hydro-cooled: the racks’ heat returns to the river — no fans, no compressors.
- Run a rainy week hour by hour, or a full hydrological year.
